Teradata Manager 13.0

Teradata Manager is a Windows-based administrative and monitoring suite for Teradata Database environments, developed by NCR’s Teradata division. It provides database administrators with a centralized console to oversee system health, optimize performance, manage sessions and workloads, and automate routine maintenance across large-scale data warehouses.

Key capabilities include:

• Real-time and historical performance monitoring (CPU, I/O, AMP utilization, response times)
• Session and query management, including visibility into active workloads, lock detection, and the ability to terminate problematic sessions
• Space and resource management for permanent, spool, and temporary space with thresholds and trending
• Threshold-based alerting and notifications for proactive issue detection
• Job scheduling and automation for recurring administrative tasks (such as statistics collection and cleanup)

While Teradata Manager was widely used in earlier Teradata deployments, many organizations now rely on newer, web-based tools such as Teradata Viewpoint. Nonetheless, Teradata Manager remains relevant in legacy environments that require a stable, client-based administration solution.
